Teaching Reading with Podcasting
Podcasting can be a way for teachers and students to exchange examples of their works. In the following examples, I will demonstrate how podcasting can be used in my classroom with my students.
These attached files are ment to be downloaded and not streamed.
The advantage of downlaoading the file is that the student is not tied to the computer. The file can be copied to a mp3 player such as the Apple iPod and can be used by the student in a mobile enviornment such as their car or in the gym while walking on a treadmill. They can access the file at anytime because it is loaded on their device.
The file files are somewhat large and will take a few minutes to download, but the wait is worth it. Right click on the link and choose "save link as" from the drop down menu.
In this first example, I discuss the importance of taking a language such as Spanish. This is a video and once downloaded can be played using iTunes on your computer or copied to and iPod.
